STROLL IN THE PARK FOR BABY LOSS AWARENESS WEEK

Derby Sands has planned a leisurely walk in Markeaton Park on Sunday, October 13th at 10.30am.

All are welcome. The route is accessible for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, buggies and prams.

We will meet from 10.15 onwards at the far end of the car park accessed from just after the Markeaton roundabout (the one with the Esso garage), turning immediately left from the A38 northbound. Pay and display at the car park is £2.40 for 2 hours, £3.80 for 3.

When we start our walk at 10.30 we will leave the car park from the left corner as you face the tennis courts and follow the route marked in blue on the map below.

After around half an hour of walking we reach the Orangery Café via the steps on the left as you face the building. Wheeled access is up a slope running up from the path and then left at the top and left again into the Orangery gardens.

We can buy refreshments and sit a while if we wish. Alternatively you may prefer to bring a picnic, there are tables and benches along the lakeside walk.

The return route is shown in red, with a short cut option marked on the map.

Or you can stay on in the park and enjoy it in its entirety! Just make sure you've put enough money in the pay and display machine, speaking from bitter experience!

At the time of writing the weather forecast looks promising, so let's hope it's a fine day - hope to see you there! If you would like to wear something with your baby's or babies' names on it, or carry a special memento that would be lovely.

Always remembering our babies, in our hearts for ever ?❤️?❤️?❤️?
